Anime Expo 2004 showed a tireless effort to celebrate all that is glorious in the land of anime and manga and the events were by no means stretched thin or held back. This year AX went all out to give the fans nearly everything they could possibly want and more. The menu included concerts, AX Idol talent competitions, karaoke contests, cosplay contests, anime music video contests, anime voice acting demonstrations, Para Para dance performances, dinner gatherings, huge presentation theaters, classy industry awards, wild and crazy art auctions, charity shows, and a whole bunch of fan-friendly Guests of Honor to party with throughout the busy weekend.

Ceremonies and AMVs and more!: This year's roster of Guests of Honor and Special Guests was
simply astounding.  With more guests than fingers you could count on, fans could only drool at the
wonderment of it all... and wait!  That's just the opening ceremonies!  Later on that night, the extremely
popular Anime Music Videos played for the hotly contested prizes.  The next day saw the Pop Shock
Masquerade, Chibi-Masquerade, and Ragnorok Online Gaming Tournament, voice acting presentations
by Akira Kamiya and the NEEC crew, and much more.

AX Tradition:  As all anime convention traditions go, Anime Expo has its own unique tradition to signify
the beginning and ending of another big weekend of anime and manga celebration.  With one daruma,
voice actress Hiromi Hirata drew in the first eye during opening ceremonies, and voice actor
Seki Tomokazu drew in the remaining eye during closing ceremonies.

AX Idol Talent Competition: With more American talent competitions taking the nation by storm,
it only makes sense to tap into the anime fan talents and getting them involved in the voicing industry.
With AX Idol, competitors showed off their skills with musical performances, scripted voices, singing popular
anime songs, and more.  Winners were given the opportunity to audition for Bang Zoom! Entertainment.
